Short Description

Scientific Use File Completed Rehabilitation in the Insurance History (Abgeschlossene Rehabilitation im Versicherungsverlauf) (SUF.RSDV):

The basis of the SUF.RSDV history data set is the rehabilitation statistics database (§ 4 RSVwV, SK94), which reports on medical and occupational rehabilitation and pension benefits from an 8-year period as well as insurance contributions and contribution periods from an 11-year period. It also includes three comparison cohorts (one deceased cohort and two birth cohorts). The population of the SUF.RSDV consists of persons for whom at least one rehabilitation programme was completed in the reporting period and/or the start of at least one approved reduced earnings capacity pension, old-age pension or pension due to death was in the reporting period and/or the person belongs to one of the comparison cohorts. A disproportionately stratified random sample is drawn, which includes 40 per cent for persons with at least one benefit for participation in working life and 20 per cent for persons with at least one medical rehabilitation benefit as well as 20 percent for persons who have claimed at least one pension benefit or belong to one of the comparison cohorts.

In addition to socio-demographic data, information from the rehabilitation application and notification, such as the type of benefit or implementation, is also included. The socio-medical documentation on discharge includes information on the duration of rehabilitation, form of treatment, five ICD diagnoses, form of discharge, suggestions for subsequent measures, ability to work and performance. If a pension is drawn, the type of pension, any time limit and the pension amount are reported. In the case of reduced earnings capacity pensions, two ICD diagnoses are reported that are related to the granting of the pension. The insurance account is used to enter the contribution and crediting type (to the month) as well as days of employment or unemployment and earning points.
