The SUF SHARE-RV data set comprises data in the format of the insurance account sample (SK79) and the policy holder pension portfolio (SK90), which are linked to survey data from the Survey of Health, Ageing and Retirement in Europe (SHARE). The SHARE target group is people aged 50 and over and their partners living in the same household. The linkage is based on the written consent of the respondents. The fixed part of the data in VSKT format includes socio-demographic characteristics (gender, age, place of residence, number and age of children, education and occupation) and characteristics from the pension calculation (earnings points and additional earnings points, pension rights adjustment). The variable part contains the employment history of the insured persons on monthly basis, including the social employment situation, earnings point information and periods of illness, unemployment, marginal employment, and care. The policy holder pension portfolio data is available for persons receiving a pension payment. In addition to socio-demographic characteristics (gender, age, marital status), the RTBN contains information on the current/first pension start date, the type of benefit and pension as well as the pension payment amount. The amount and composition of entitlements and pensionable periods are also shown. The SHARE-RV data is available in both SPSS and STATA format. The SHARE data must be requested separately via the FDZ-SHARE .
