Scientific Use File SHARE-RV Insurance Accounts Sample (Versichertenkontenstichprobe) (SUF.SHARE-RV.VSKT):

The SUF.SHARE-RV.VSKT is based on data from German participants in the Survey of Health, Ageing and Retirement in Europe (SHARE). The SHARE target group is people aged 50 and over and their partners living in the same household. SHARE-RV combines the SHARE survey data with administrative data from the German Pension Insurance. In addition to the cross-sectional data of the pension portfolio statistics (§ 7 RSVwV, SK90), this includes the longitudinal data of the insurance accounts sample (§ 1 RSVwV section 2, SK79). The prerequisite for linkage is the written consent of the respondent.

The SUF.SHARE-RV.VSKT data provides various sum and average information that describes the pension entitlement of the insured person. Furthermore, the social employment situation of an insured person is mapped on a monthly basis, as well as for example information on illness, unemployment, child-rearing and earnings. The monthly information is organised as a cross-section over the insured person's lifetime (January of the 14th to December of the 65th year of life).
