Short description
Scientific Use File Completed Insurance Lives (Vollendete Versichertenleben) (SUF.VVL):
The basis of the SUF.VVL longitudinal data set is the pension entry statistics (§ 6 RSVwV, SK90) linked with data in the format of the insurance accounts sample (§ 1 RSVwV section 2, SK79). The base population is restricted to old-age and reduced earnings capacity pensions as well as defined reasons for notification (in particular first-time pension receipt). The size of the random sample is 25 per cent.
In addition to demographic data, the data set covers important pension-related facts such as pension amount, components of the pension payment amount, earning points and credited insurance periods. The longitudinal data maps the social employment situation during the insured person's lifetime on a monthly basis, as well as for example information on illness, unemployment, child-raising and earnings. The monthly data is organised on a lifetime basis (January of the 14th to December of the 65th year of life) as a cross-section.
